Many fans of indie film in the New York/New Jersey area know writer/director Kevin McLaughlin from his short film, Mosquito Man, a semi-autobiographical farce that was an audience favorite at New York’s Independent Feature Film Market in 1997. After screening at the Long Island Film Festival and The Asbury Park Music and Film Fest, the work was recognized as a brilliantly offbeat take on summer jobs in suburbia.
